Graphic Guidelines

We are on a Mac based system. Please make sure your files are compatible with the below formats and programs. All fonts provided must be for the Mac system. We cannot use PC fonts.

Programs:

Illustrator CS1 or Higher
Photoshop CS1 or Higher
InDesign CS1 or Higher

File Formats:

TIF(F) - We prefer CMYK and 300 dpi when you are using this format.

EPS - All fonts must be converted to outlines, CMYK and 300 dpi.

PDF - Please use the PDFX1a or the PDFX3a formats when exporting. These produce the best quality prints. We also recommend using crop marks. It makes it easier for the print shop to cut with.

JPEG- These formats are used for publishing to display on low resolution media such as monitor and television or the web. They do not work well for printing because JPEG compresses file size by selectively discarding data. This causes very low quality printed documents.

We can not use any logo, graphic, or photo that has been saved in a Microsoft Word or Word Perfect Document. If you only have files that were created in Microsoft Word or Word Perfect, please save them as a .PDF file and send them that way. Or, you may type up what you want in those programs and send the graphic files separately.

Please note: we can not use logos, graphics, or photos that have been taken off of the internet (i.e., .GIF files). They produce poor quality results when printed. Please send original files whenever possible.
